Palm Jumeirah, Dubai
The contemporary residence located on the exclusive Palm Jumeirah frond N referenced to mid-century Miami Modernism. The architecture is defined by sharp, edgy, cantilevered angular volumes with an overture of minimalist interior finishing. A mix of poured concrete, natural rift wood contrasting with sophisticated marble patterns make up the majority of the material palette for a chic, refined, minimal look. Clean lines, open spaces, subtle sculptural detailing where bold material ...choices and visual contrasts is intentional and total. From the front entrance to the back patio, the structure acts as a portal that establishes views of the striking Dubai sea scenery from every space. The back of the home opens up both visually and physically to create an indoor/outdoor environment. A double volume living room space defined the concept of openness to the outdoor with a fireplace wall made of polished black marble and rift dark oak full height cladding. The use of white quartz flooring throughout the entire house, decks and terraces continues the indoor-outdoor materiality, which is amplified when the glass walls slide away furthering the experience of continuous spaces from the inside to nature.
